Inclusive Swimming in Canada

À Contre-Courant is Montreal’s gay and lesbian masters’ swim club. Besides swimming, it offers its members water polo and synchronized swimming. These activities are open to all adults, regardless of age, gender, sexual orientation or level of athletic performance.

Different Strokes Calgary (DSC) is a non-profit, volunteer run swim club inclusive of LGBTQ+ swimmers and their supporters, dedicated to the master swim program philosophy of “fun and fitness for life” in an environment that is both positive and supportive.

The English Bay Swim Club has been around almost as long as organized Masters’ swimming in British Columbia, and we are one of the first LGBT2Q* swim teams in the world.

Making Waves Swim Club is Edmonton's masters swim club and water polo team for the 2SLGBTQ+ community and their friends. Since 1999, they have fostered participation in aquatic sports in a inclusive environment that is supportive of all athletes.
